About the Artist
Stephanie Suh was born and raised in Westerville, Ohio and is a graduate of Butler University in Indianapolis. There, she pursued her passion for graphic design by graduating cum laude with a B.A. in Art + Design and Strategic Communication.
As a young child, she wanted to become a fashion designer. Later, during her high school years, she defined her love of design and began working towards a career in graphic design. Throughout college, she used a wide range of mediums. Although her favorite artistic aspect to focus on is typography, composition, and layout, she also enjoys discovering new ways to paint. She enjoys experimenting with unique art forms as well as learning new skills in the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
As an artist, Stephanie loves the feeling of creating something new on a blank canvas (figuratively and literally). Being able to take reality and make it in her own style has always been inspiring to her. She especially finds inspiration in her many travels around the world. Different cultures and natural landscapes motivate her to want to create from the strong imagery she observes.
Her work has been featured in the Butler University Art Now exhibition, Senior Thesis Show and The 86th Annual Student Show at the Indianapolis Art Center. She hopes to discover more of her design abilities as she works at Alleo in Carmel, IN. When she is not working, Stephanie enjoys traveling across the world, grabbing a cocktail with friends, taking walks along the downtown Indy canal, and grabbing coffee at a local cafe (check out @IndieCoffeeShops on Instagram!).
